As I write this report I can hear really noisy wind blowing about outside. Wasn't like that just a short while ago. Though from early on winds have been affecting Kagura with the Tashiro area closed this morning and Kagura only open from the Mitsumata Ropeway to the main quad. The Dragondola connecting Naeba with Tashiro is closed and a few of the upper lifts at Naeba also seem to be affected. Other than that though, at the moment, resorts seem to all be open as normal.
Just a bit of new snow since yesterday, 5cm or so. Yesterday was a generally fine day in the area, somewhat overcast but bright and the snow conditions were very good by all accounts.
Cloud and possible light snow forecast for the day before clearing up by tomorrow. For the moment it's just cloudy and actually quite mild, hovering around 0 degrees.
