Good morning from Yuzawa.
We didn't get much of a clear up yesterday. In fact, there were still spots of rain around in the evening... it was quite cold too.
Kagura are even reporting 5cm of snow up there.
It is supposed to be clearer today too but we are starting the day with quite a lot of cloud.
Yesterday evening the local news was talking about the weather at the moment. They mentioned that temperatures are/will be 'lower than usual'. After a winter season of what seemed like constantly hearing the annoying 'higher than usual', I shouted very loudly at the TV on behalf of us all. That surely told them!
Kagura are officially asking people from the regions of Japan that are under the current 'state of emergency' (Tokyo, Kanagawa, etc) --- to not come. That's a fair chunk of the normal guest list for Kagura, so it will be interesting to see how that turns out. If these potential visitors are good boys and girls, Kagura may be quieter than you would expect.
Tomorrow is the last day of the winter season for GALA Yuzawa.
Cloudy skies are forecast for tomorrow.
