It's a bright morning in Yuzawa. The sun has been winning the battle with the clouds, but lots of (cloud) shadows being cast down on the slopes around town, making for some dramatic scenery. I feel that more cloud has been gathering though and snow is actually forecast for the region during the day today and into tomorrow.
For now though, no new snow to report. It's about -3 degrees now with a high of around 0 forecast at town level.
It is another busy morning on the snow with the popular resorts seeing lots of people out early to try and catch the snow at it's best. With tomorrow being a national holiday here in Japan, it'll definitely be busier than a normal weekday as people take advantage of the long weekend but likely less than today, especially from lunchtime onwards.
