According to my eyes, there has been at least 20-30cm of new snow fall since yesterday. Probably more on the mountain. Wind has been blowing it around the last day or so, and so varying and of course Shiga Kogen covers a large area....
The only snow depth number listed below - those being the official numbers that the resorts report of course - that has changed to reflect the new snowfall is the one for Terakoya. Well done Terakoya! It's somewhat frustrating that the resorts don't seem to want to keep those numbers up to date and celebrate the new snow. If I were a resort, I'd be shouting about it and dancing around. But, anyway, that's what I am here for - to tell you how much has actually fallen!
Snow will likely ease later on and tomorrow is due to be a fine and sunny day according to the forecasts.
Nighta operations planned for tonight at the following resort areas:
Ichinose Family
Ichinose Diamond
Yakebitaiyama
