Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 687cm

Good morning from Shiga Kogen.

It's one of those 'and after the storm, clearer weather' things going on this morning. After the storm that included wind, rain, sleet and was generally kind of nasty, it's nice to have a calmer morning.

There is blue sky and cloud and even some snow still falling in some areas.

Kumanoyu are reporting 15cm of fresh. Yakebitaiyama are reporting 5cm. It is one of those times when it'll be different not only due to location but the wind that was blowing it around.

I have measured 10cm.

The coming days will likely feature more sun than snow, Friday in particularly being relatively mild. Though it doesn't look like it will be alarmingly so.
