Posted on Friday 3rd April 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.
Great to see that snow yesterday and I have more to add (from yesterday since my report).
It might not have been peak season dry and fluffy, but it was still snow and most definitely better than the rain that lower areas go.
Yakebitaiyama was reporting as much as 15cm of fresh snow!
This morning the sun is out.
Back to cloud tomorrow and perhaps some rain (I wonder if there might be any more snow left) and possibly windy too. Sunday should be calmer and perhaps brighter.
