Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 581cm

Good morning from Shiga Kogen.

And I actually have some good news. It's snowing! It may be raining lower down but up here we have some snow flakes coming down - and actually really nicely as of 9am.

That is good to see on this last day of February. And it has been a strange February with some really unseasonal conditions with locals making that comment being the topic of the day.

I can even put 2cm on the report and hopefully there will be more to report come tomorrow (when clearer skies are likely).
