Snowfall at base this season 676cm

Good morning from Shiga Kogen.

A bit of drama since my last report. Something of a storm last night and it seems to be affecting the Nishidateyama Number 2 triple lift which has been... knocked out?!... and now closed earlier than planned. Hearing about some kind of fire started by a lightening strike, no injuries apparently though I am not quite sure of the full story.

Oh yes, some fresh snow too with both Yakebitaiyama and Kumanoyu reporting 5cm this morning. I can add a measured 3cm to my report.

Fine now but the weekly forecast shows, er, regular snowfall over the coming days. Omoshiroi!
