Hello from Shiga Kogen and... Happy Christmas.

I was just over at Okushiga and the snow was coming down at a good rate. We are expecting snow today and potentially quite heavy overnight tonight.

A contrast to the clearer weather and mild of yesterday.

More lifts are moving this morning. I notice the Number 1 Gondola at Yakebitaiyama is open from today and most of the ski areas are showing a status of 'mostly open'.

'Fully open' areas at Yokoteyama, Shibutoge, Kumanoyu, Bunadaira and Tannenomori Okojo.

All but Terakoya, Giant, Ichinokami and Hasuike areas are now at least part open. Perhaps they will open up from tomorrow?
