Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 12cm
Snowfall at base this season 238cm

Good morning from Shiga Kogen.

Yes, a nice layer of snow this morning and some cold temperatures.

Yakebitaiyama are reporting about 20cm and I reckon there might be up to 30cm in places due to the windy conditions we had overnight which have been blowing it around. The amount varies across the region, and I have measured 12cm.

Things have calmed down considerably this morning. It is still quite windy and it is still snowing in places but it is also quite bright. The sun is breaking through the (many) clouds at Okushiga Kogen, for example.
