Good morning from Shiga Kogen.
It's still cloudy and grey but forecasts say it should be clearer later on this morning.. and indeed there are blue skies in areas to the north already.
20cm of fresh snow is being reported by both Kumanoyu and Yakebitaiyama this morning.
For the weekend: sunny, clear skies are forecast. As are rising temperatures again. That will probably bring more people out for the weekend which the ski areas will be happy about... and there's all this fresh snow too.
A drop back down to winter cold and more snow is there on the forecasts for around Tuesday next week.
