Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 33cm

Posted on Wednesday 14th December 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.

Not that much snow yesterday and it was definitely on the wet side with the relatively mild temps. I'm not an expert, but I believe that is actually a good thing for the base of snow.

It's feeling colder this morning, and it is snowing again (and less wet).

No ski area operations changes to report. If we get some decent snow over the next few days, I'm expecting more to be open by the weekend.

The information below is manually checked with official sources and updated for every report.
