Sunshine this morning here in Shiga Kogen.
Hold on.. sunshine?! Weird. Happily I am also able to report 6cm of snow but for the moment the clouds have cleared and the sun is out.
It's one of those periods when places in western Japan get snow and we don't get much. There's probably a name for that (one more technical than 'odd'!) but I don't know it.
Still, snow on and off is there on the forecasts over the next few days so perhaps things will keep on changing with speed.
All very interesting. (Though heavy snowfall is more interesting!).
