Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 511cm

Posted on Thursday 10th March 2016 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.

Morning from Shiga Kogen where it still feels fairly wintery and there is 10cm of fresh snow to report since my report yesterday which should freshen things up a bit but remember there'll be that icy layer beneath the thin layer of new snow.

It has been quite cold as well this morning. At the moment there's clouds and there is some sunshine in places.

Any more snow due? Yes, it's still there on that forecast so we can hope for some more fresh on the way over the next few days.
