Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 733cm

Posted on Monday 20th April 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Warm conditions over the weekend with temps rising over 20C, and more warmth due today.

The Paradise course and Uenotaira snow park are now both closed, leaving us with 'the extended top bit'*.

It's still a fair amount of terrain, one of the fine features of our beloved mountain, and snow cover on is Yamabiko still holding up. Though very much spring conditions everywhere now, of course.

Official snow depth still on 55cm.

(* I'll say 'the top bit' when we're down to just the Yamabiko courses).
