Today I have more fresh snow to report. 6cm of it since my report yesterday morning.
That takes us up to 15cm of (my) observed snowfall for the season so far.
As 'the red line' (on the graph) now shows, that's just a bit less than the most at this point of the year in the November 2016. Hurray!
Side note: I like how I can see the snowfall numbers for each season on any given day on that graph. For those still getting used to the new set up, the graph can be found at any time on the 2026-2027 season page (link above and below).
While we should be encouraged/slightly excited about this, we also shouldn't read too much - anything? - into it. 2016-2017, after all, did not turn out to be a blockbuster season in terms of snowfall. I'm thinking of it as a pleasing very early start rather than a sign of things to come.
It is still snowing lightly outside as I write this where I am, and it is not as cold as yesterday. Not as windy either.
We may get some more snow over the next few days before clearer skies and less cold due from Wednesday.
