Greetings from Niseko.
I was woken at just before 5:30am this morning by a bit of a wobble; a fairly strong earthquake in the central-southern (is that a word) region of Hokkaido. Nothing major here but I always feel I'm super sensitive to these things.
It was a bit rude. But seriously, I hope people were not affected over there (though no doubt nerves were ruffled). Earthquakes are one of those reminders of how life can literally change; suddenly, in an instant.
OK so it's a fair morning here with some light blue skies and a hazy looking over towards Mt Yotei.
It is forecast to be a warm day and it does indeed feel very mild this morning. Already over 10C. Toasty!
