Independent snow and weather reporting from the Niseko region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 7cm
Snowfall at base this season 73cm

Posted on Saturday 25th November 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Niseko Now report can be found here

It is a cold start to the weekend and has been a bit of a stormy start too with wind and snow. Lovely light snow quality, though perhaps not as much as we would like (is it ever?!). I have just measured 7cm.

Looking ahead, there seems to be a good chance of some consistent snow over the coming week, particularly from mid-week.

Will it be enough for ski areas to open as planned? That would be great. I will keep you informed along the way.
