Independent snow and weather reporting from the Niseko region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 49cm

Posted on Monday 23rd November 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Niseko Now report can be found here

Good morning all.

Just a little sprinkling of snow to report to you this morning.

The lower slopes of Hirafu are looking speckled (not a complete white cover) and I can just about justify 1cm for the report. I'll take note of a few mm in there for a future report when there's just over a certain amount of cm.

This week should remain colder and hopefully there will be some regular snow to report; just how much we'll have to see.

First lifts are due to open at Annupuri this coming Saturday.

All snowfall data presented on this page is the snowfall measured and observed at base/town level by our reporter based in Kutchan/Niseko. The 'new snowfall' number represents the amount of snow measured since the previous report. All opinions are those of the individual reporters. Information regarding ski area operations is manually checked every morning and is believed to be correct at the time of the report.
