New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 624cm
Posted on Friday 21st January 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Niseko Now report can be found here
We're back with some fresh snow early this morning. Not a huge amount - I have 5cm to report. And this morning wind condition on the mountain is being annoying, preventing the top lifts from opening as planned this morning. The gondola at Annupuri is also not starting up yet and the gondola at Village is moving but at a reduced speed.
Talking of gondolas, good news. The Hanazono gondola is open again this morning. That means night skiing until 7pm is back on there. Yey!
It's 8:30am and the snow seems to be coming down at a faster rate now... nice big flakes too. Good. Though I note that on the Annupuri webcam it looks brighter over there...
Variable conditions this morning.
