Good morning from Yuzawa.
It is a bright morning with a kind of overcast feel, with thin cloud early on.
There seems to be a chance of some light rain from time to time across the weekend. Let's hope we get lucky and it holds off.
It is impressive how good the snow cover still is at Kagura (check out the image below). I can't remember the ski area closing in mid-May with so much snow left. The ski area could clearly continue beyond Sunday, but there have been no hints that they will. Sunday is scheduled to be the last day of the season.
If you fancy some traditional pork soup and taking part in a raffle, be sure to be at the Mitsumata Ropeway base around 2pm on Sunday. While stocks last!
