Independent snow and weather reporting from the Niseko region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 7cm
Snowfall at base this season 1260cm

Posted on Tuesday 10th April 2018 This is an archived report. The latest Niseko Now report can be found here

Good morning from Niseko and... hurray!

I have more fresh snow to report. 7cm of it, in fact.

And what's more, the sun is out and it we are enjoying mostly clear blue skies with just a few friendly-looking clouds hanging around.

It is a lovely morning and definitely should be fun out there with a high temp of around 7C forecast for later on in the day.

I think I am going to have to celebrate with an extra slice of toast with plum jam... once I get back from enjoying some early tracks. Can't resist this morning.

The forecast seems to be showing some rain tomorrow, possibly heavy and windy too.
