New snowfall at base 8cm
Snowfall at base this season 75cm
Posted on Thursday 4th January 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Naeba.
The sight outside is much improved, with snow on the trees and substantial flakes of fresh snowfall continuing to accumulate. Currently, I have measured 8cm of fresh snow, and the snowfall is persisting, likely adding a few more centimeters in the coming hours.
At the mountain's peak, clouds cloak the summit, accompanied by robust winds expected to persist at least until midday. The consistency of the snow isn't the ideal dry powder we dream of; it's a bit wet, but every additional centimeter contributes significantly and is invaluable at this stage.
Hopefully there will be another substantial snowfall at the weekend.
Continue with your snow prayers!
