Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 769cm

Posted on Saturday 4th February 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Naeba everybody.

Today looks set to be a relatively nice groomer day. There's a reasonable amount of cloud in the sky as well as some nice blue skies. Nothing looks to ominous though so I expect that the weather will hold.

Since yesterday morning we have received a reasonable 10 cm of new snow although most of this has been compacted down by the groomers. Therefore today is definitely a day to get out and lay some hard carves down.

The temperature is relatively warm and will potentially rise above freezing around midday.

After today, however, according to the forecast, we are back to snow every day!

Yay!
