Good morning from Naeba everybody.
So yesterday's dreaded rain did come through and it rained fairly hard for a large proportion of the day. The good news though is that this rain turned to snow in the evening and it has snowed hard all night! Even now the snow is still coming down pretty hard. I believe the technical term is "puking it down"!
As a result, we have fresh snow all over the mountain. Please do take care as this is fresh snow on top of ice so you definitely don't want to misjudge a turn today.
At the moment the gondola to the top and the lifts at the top of the mountain are on hold waiting to be cleared to open once ski patrol gives the all clear. These lifts may or may not open today depending on ski patrols safety judgment.
The weather forecast is currently predicting snow for the next couple of days with potentially some ran on Thursday morning. Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that!
Fruity!
