Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 30cm
Snowfall at base this season 498cm
Posted on Tuesday 17th January 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.
Yet another very good morning from Naeba everybody.
I truly believe that there is no way that someone can fully appreciate the sheer volume of snow that we have experienced this last week without actually being here.
With another 30 cm of snow accumulation over night we have yet another perfect powder day.
We are expecting a short break in the weather with potentially even some sun tomorrow. This will make a nice change before once again a storm rolls in on Friday and pummels us again!
Be safe out there kids. We have had over 2 and a half meters of snow over the last 7 days and there is some significant avalanche danger in certain parts of the mountain.
