Snowfall at base this season 243cm
Posted on Tuesday 16th January 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.
Greetings from a snowy Naeba.
Today's report brings thrilling news – we've measured a whopping 44cm of fresh snow, and it's still coming down! However, due to strong winds, Gondola 2 and Dragondola are temporarily closed for safety.
Traveling from the town area of Yuzawa to Naeba might take a bit longer today, with substantial snow clearing on the roads causing a doubling of travel time. And make sure to wear those extra layers as it's windy out there.
The weather forecast is promising, with tomorrow expected to be sunny, offering the perfect backdrop to enjoy the newly fallen snow. Fingers crossed for ideal conditions! 🤞
Stay warm and stay safe.
