Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 178cm

Good morning from Naeba everybody.
What a beautiful day to be out and about in the mountains. Amazing sun and beautiful blue skies all over the shop!
Things are looking significantly snowy after yesterday's huge storm "Alberto". All the grass is now covered by a thick layer of snow, however, caution should still be applied as whilst a lot of snow has fallen in the last few days it has not yet had a chance to form into a solid base across most of the mountain. The best riding will therefore still be had on the marked trails.
We received another 10cm of snow during the day yesterday after we submitted the report which has been groomed to make some beautiful groomers today.
Exciting news today as the mountain is now ski-able from the top of Gondola No. 2 to the bottom. Please bear in mind this is currently just one run though.
Looking on we are expecting the clear weather to continue until Saturday afternoon and then another small snow storm.
Get out there and lay it down!
