Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 8cm
Snowfall at base this season 62cm

Posted on Monday 12th December 2016 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Naeba everybody.

Well the snow storm that we have been experiencing over the last couple of days has finally passed and left us with a beautiful soft piste all over and a fantastic bluebird day in which to enjoy it.

There is still not an awful lot of piste open on the mountain unfortunately as the ski resort is still in "early season mode".

What piste we do have open should be absolutely wonderful to ride however so get up here and enjoy!

Over the last two or three days a grand total of 45 cm of snow has fallen giving us some excellent start of season conditions.

Today once again only beginner lift No.4 and High Speed Lift No. 5 are operating until 1700 this evening.
