Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 20cm
Snowfall at base this season 263cm

Good morning from Naeba everybody.
So today's snow fall is a little difficult to pin down as to exactly how much has fallen in the last 24 hours.
I have measured depths in various places around the base area and the most constant in areas sheltered from the wind is 20 cm. However in areas that have been strongly windswept the accumulation is much less. So therefore whilst 20cm has fallen it is not consistent across the whole mountain.
Today's conditions will once again be fairly nice groomers with pockets of powder to be hunted down.
Going on the weather is still predicting no end to the snow with Heavy Snowfall predicted as of Friday.
Chilly!
