Hello and good morning from Madarao.
Curious weather this morning, perhaps just because it's not like I was expecting.
Not so much of a wind and while we have got 30cm or so of fresh snowfall overnight visibility is decent and things seem relatively calm.
That goes for the amount of people around as well...
You might have noticed the news from Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Chiba --- the state of emergency because of covid-19 will surely affect the number of people who will visit gives us all a complicated mix of sadness, worry, etc.
With the snow as it is this season the people who are here are finding themselves able to enjoy a real treat; perhaps feeling somewhat guilty about it at the same time. Do take care everyone. Let's beat this. I refuse to be beaten and I'm going to do what I can to support the ski areas around here. I don't usually like handing over money for stuff, but in this case I feel I'm doing my bit.
