Good morning from Madarao.
Heavy snowfall. Don't you just love the sound of that? I know I do.
That be what we got since yesterday; the result is well over half a metre of fresh snowfall on our mountain. The resort is officially reporting a whopping 65cm.
I just took 3 measurements within 10m: 56cm, 59cm, 62cm. I think the middle one there is the one to go with this morning.
Official snow depth has just taken that big jump up to 175cm too.
The biggest snowfall of the season. And I'm pretty sure it will be the coldest morning of the season too.
Excellent.
Conditions are a bit wild outside still. I know folk will be very excited at this fresh snow delivery but especially in these conditions real care needs to be taken.
Sunshine is expected tomorrow so I would say that if you can take a day off work it would be a good one to choose!
