All the doom and gloom about rain have not eventuated this morning, although it is very warm for this time of year. A wind has come in from the south, which is good news for windsurfers, but not the best for snowboarders. The temperature was 3 degrees at last read of the thermometer. Balmy temperatures really, so you may want to bring your wind surfer if you have one, just in case.
Apart from that, there is still plenty of snow around if you feel in the mood for skidding around in spring conditions, in winter. There has been no more snow at Madarao overnight, but the forecast has indicated that there is more coming tonight. So all is not lost. The new year break should still see some good powdery conditions.
