15-20cm of new snow and clearing skies this morning.
What more could we want!?
Electricity, for one. Yes, there seems to be some kind of a power cut at the moment and those ski lifts don't run on orange juice and so it looks like there'll be a delay to opening.
I have to post this now though as I am off to Niigata this morning.
Here's to a power driven day.

UPDATE AT 9:20am.... Power On... Lifts are go!

As many of you may well know, the Shinkansen train station down at Iiyama will be opening from 14th March - making Madarao easier to get to from Tokyo... hope on the Shink to Iiyama then a bus up to Madarao. Benri! They are officially saying 25 minutes but it can be done quicker than that. It will sure be interesting to see how many people actually end up using that way to get to Madarao and how many more folk will turn up to the resort.
