It did continue snowing yesterday into the afternoon when we actually got some clearer skies for a while. Didn't last for too long though as this morning there's an additional 20cm or so of snow on the ground and Madarao Kogen is reporting up to 30cm on the slopes. Excellent.
It's pretty much white-out conditions now though with very little to see at all. As far as I can tell, lifts are moving or at least plan to be moving. The resort's latest update at 9:22am shows all of the tree runs and a few lifts still being 'prepared' to be open, so hopefully they can.
Extra care needed today. As I said you can see almost nothing out there. Don't smash into a tree and I would recommend staying to areas you know. Have fun but take care.
This latest front should be over by tomorrow and calm will return by Tuesday.
