I have my Santa hat on to bring you good news this morning.
Snow overnight and.... (drum roll)....
Madarao will be open from tomorrow (Wednesday 25th December).
Yes, Santa-san (not me, I'm just a pretend Santa) will be there for first lifts (possible) and we can at last celebrate the start of the 2019-2020 season.
It will be limited to just the Number 1 lift operating and the Paradise and Beginners B courses, but let's just be happy and relieved that they can get open.
The lifts will be open from 9:00am until 4:00pm and a lift ticket will cost 1500 yen for adults and seniors and 500 yen for children.
May it be the start of what will turn out to be a bumper season. Perhaps it's just a late start and we'll get great snow through spring. I'm feeling positive this morning.
No news just yet from Tangram.
Oh yes, sunshine forecast for tomorrow. Potentially decent snow on Thursday night through Friday.
