Hello and welcome back to Madarao Now.

It was over 7 months ago when I posted the last report from last season and here we are with 2014-2015 just around the corner. It has definitely been a mixed bag of weather over the green season, but it's the white season that we're most interested here I'm sure!

Madarao Kogen plans to open from Friday 19th December for the 2014-2015 season. By then there will surely be enough snow and everyone will be well up for it... here's to a bumper season.

More reports coming in the weeks leading up to the resort opening with news on the new ungroomed course called 'Ninja' that will be added this season. To get you in the mood, below is a photo of the nice covering of snow there is on the runs.

All snowfall data presented on this page is the snowfall measured and observed at base/town level by our reporter based in Madarao. The 'new snowfall' number represents the amount of snow measured since the previous report. All opinions are those of the individual reporters. Information regarding ski area operations is manually checked every morning and is believed to be correct at the time of the report.

SnowJapan is an entirely independent operation. Our daily reports are not posted on behalf of ski areas or any other business or organisation.
