Good morning from Madarao.

I am happy to be able to report some fresh snowfall this morning. The resort is reporting 10cm, I have measured 9cm. It is all looking winter-y once again which of course is what we all want. And hopefully a few more to add to it today.

Sunshine is forecast for tomorrow with snow due from the evening.

This weekend is a long weekend in Japan, with Monday being a national holiday. It is traditionally one of the busiest of the season.

There are various events going on including the Madarao Fire Festival tomorrow night (starting from 8:30pm - free sake!) and nighta scheduled for tomorrow and Sunday.

We'd hope for more snow on the ground than we have got, but we need to enjoy what we got so let's hope that the weather co-operates and the resort can have a good weekend in every respect.
