Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 617cm

Posted on Wednesday 4th May 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Hello from Hakuba.

Both today and tomorrow should bring us some very pleasant and fine weather... the kind we expect over the Golden Week holidays, in fact! Temperatures today at base will be rising above 20C.

When I walked past there 15 minutes ago, there were already people gathering around the gondola station at Happo, looking for some first turns.

Snow is definitely getting less by the day, but it's still out there to enjoy. (That lower run at Hakuba 47 has now closed. That was a very good showing indeed).

Please note that some of the data below has not been updated due to the early time of the report today.
