Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 318cm

Posted on Monday 30th December 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

After more snow during the day yesterday, this morning we start with some blue sky.

It has been a fine morning. Lots of visitors now; after all, it is peak New Year holiday time.

We will probably get more snow tomorrow, possibly heavy at times, though it might clear up by New Years morning.

Happy to report that the top Grad quad and course at Happo-one should be open today. Yey! But.... doesn't seem to be happening early on. Nor sure why.
