Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 584cm

Posted on Sunday 27th February 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Clouds slowly started to gather from around the middle of the day yesterday but it was generally a really fine day to out and about. Warm too.

And this morning it has started snowing. As I write this it is actually coming down quite nicely outside and there's a layer on my car.

The only new snowfall I can see being reported ---- early morning, I might add ---- is 2cm at Riesen (Happo-one) and 1cm on the upper areas of Hakuba Goryu.

Hopefully we'll have more to report tomorrow and we are expecting sun in the morning.
