New snowfall at base 17cm
Snowfall at base this season 233cm
Posted on Saturday 24th January 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
New snow!
Here's the rankings of new snowfall, as reported by ski areas earlier this morning (cue Top of the Pops theme):
Happo-one: 10-25cm
Hakuba Cortina 15cm
Hakuba Goryu: 10-15cm
Hakuba 47: 10-15cm
My own measurement is actually 17cm. Perhaps I should be in the ranking!
And it is snowing this morning with a lot forecast today and tomorrow.
Sounds good. Let's have it!
All ski areas appear to be opening but at time of my report it is unclear if any lifts will be affected by weather conditions.
Visibility limited in upper areas in particular.
Take care out there.
