Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 251cm

Posted on Friday 24th January 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

It's either an early or late report today as there's some work being done on the site, so early it is mainly because it's simple.

Very cold overnight in Hakuba, down to around -13 in village apparently, but temps going to race up to about +5 today at base. Might even get warmer still tomorrow. The warmth is not a good thing but there are mostly clear skies over the valley this morning and so it's all looking very beautiful.
