New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 442cm

Posted on Saturday 1st April 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Hakuba.

It's April and a beautiful start to the month, with more of the same still forecast over the next few days - possibly until Tuesday.

At Hakuba Goryu the downhill course is now closed, so you need to get the gondola back down to base. The Toomi run will be open until tomorrow.

Hakuba 47 is now the only ski area where you can still slide down to base. You need to get the gondola back to base at the others that remain open.

Someone asked if the ski areas are going to be able to open until Golden Week this year. It's going to depend on nature isn't it, and how warm this month turns out. It might prove to be difficult. Anyway, we are just going to have to wait and see... and enjoy what we have in the meantime!
