Posted on Monday 17th December 2012 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

It was a colder early morning in Hakuba, down to around -3C overnight and currently hovering around 0C, though likely to rise to around 6C later on in the day. The sun is out and blue skies all around with just a slight south westerly wind. So a clear morning likely with patches of cloud and fingers crossed later on it should be snowing, though it may well start off as rain and sleet before the white stuff starts to fall. Tomorrow should be colder though and bring with it fresh snow, so we can look forward to that. The colder temperatures should remain through the week as well, though at the moment the forecast doesn't promise any significant snowfall after what we get tonight into tomorrow, through into next week.

In resort news this morning, Happo-one seem to be saying that they will have all courses on the mountain open from Friday.

Hope to bring you news of snow in my report tomorrow.
