Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 401cm

Posted on Wednesday 15th February 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

It seems like it is one of those days when the northern areas have got more snow than others.

Hakuba Cortina this morning are boasting of 23cm of snowfall at base areas overnight, which is more than others can claim. (They are also reporting windy conditions and limited visibility).

Some light snow falling yesterday and outside of Cortina ski areas (that report numbers) are reporting 5-10cm in upper areas.

It's a cold morning, so I would expect the snow should be good.

After more light snow showers possible today, we can probably expect clearer skies tomorrow through Sunday.
