It's the long weekend with many people off work today due to the National Foundation Day national holiday. This weekend is often one of the busiest of the season.
Some snow during the day out there yesterday, though not delivering big numbers. For example, Hakuba 47 were saying there was about 5cm. The only overnight snow being reported this morning is by Hakuba Cortina (5cm). Hakuba Happo-one have curiously posted 10cm for Nakiyama and none from higher areas.
Anyway enough of numbers. There's blue sky above us this morning and it's a fine start to the day. There's still a lot of cloud about and actually it's still snowing in some areas. Perhaps it will cloud over for the day.
There's a chance of clearer skies again tomorrow. Wind doesn't look like it should be an issue this weekend so generally pleasant conditions, I'd say.
