Morning from Geto Kogen.
Strong winds yesterday affected the gondola operations, with rain and sleet higher up.
Alas it is still raining this morning but I am hearing that there might be some wet snow up on the mountain. Still, at this stage of the season, that doesn't really feel exciting... clear skies and sun would be more welcome.
Hopefully we might get some of that over the next few days, but forecasts look mixed. Fingers crossed we get lucky.
The ski area plans to be open until Tuesday, the last day of Golden Week.
Scheduled ski area operation (subject to change):
A2, B2, B3 and all the C courses are closed and some restrictions on others
All tree run courses are now closed
Official snow depth (reported by the ski area):
175cm (top)
65cm (base)
Cumulative snowfall this season (reported by the ski area):
2472cm
Spring season scheduled operations (* subject to change):
Number 1 Gondola
Number 2 pair lift
Geto Kogen hopes to remain open this season until Tuesday 6th May 2025
