New snowfall at base

Snowfall at base this season 824cm

Posted on Saturday 17th January 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Geto Kogen Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Geto Kogen.

More snow! It was warmer yesterday and so the snow was of the heavier flavour; still, most definitely much better than rain!

Ski area reporting over 30cm up top and I can report another 25cm from base. Nice.

I am hearing that the Summit, Beech and Stream tree run courses should be open this morning.

Visibility is very limited early this morning. It was actually much clearer about an hour ago, so that may be temporary.

May not be much snow over the next few days, but there's serious snowfall on forecasts from Tuesday onwards.
