Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 507cm

Posted on Friday 9th February 2018 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

The much needed replenishment of snow started late yesterday and continues as of now. There is a total of 10cm of fresh in the village and I would expect up to double that on the upper slopes. Needless to say it will be a great powder morning. There is only a slight breeze, but the cloud is low today and rolling right down the face of the resort. Hopefully this will lift later, but for now visibility will be varied and a bit limited at elevation. Have a great day!
